- Cut holes in the base of a 1 litre carton for drainage
- Re-seal the opening of the carton
- Cut out one side of the carton, fill it with soil and plant
your favourite flowers or vegetables.
You can use cartons of various shapes and sizes to create your own village.
- Use a half-litre carton as shown
- Make two cuts in the side of the carton and bend back in the direction
shown by the arrows.
- Cut out the side recesses
- pierce 4 holes in the side and use drinking straws as axles to attach
the wheels.
- Cut wheels out of another carton.

Use any size carton to make a desk tidy/penholder.
- Glue three half litre cartons togther as shown.
- Pierce holes on the deck of your boat and insert drinking straws as masts.

This fortress, complete with walls and drawbridge, is made from cartons of
different shapes and sizes.
To make a drawbridge, use a 1 or 2 litre carton and cut ou the front as shown.
Use a half litre carton inside the bottom of a 1 litre carton for the towers.

- Cut any size carton to the desired height and make up your own
designs with lids.
- Cover with coloured paper or paint.
- Use two 1 litre cartons and cut out slits and a hole in the front as shown.
- Cut the bottoms off two disposable cups and insert into the hole.
- Pierce a hole in the top and insert a drinking straw for the aerial.
- Pierce a hole in the back of both cartons, behind the mouthpiece, and connect them with string.
- The string needs to be held taut between the two walkie talkies to make it work!

- Pierce 6 holes in the sides of the carton and use drinking
straws for axles to attach the wheels.
- Cut wheels out of a separate carton.
Make this fun mobile to hang from your ceiling. Use two coat hangers for the
frame. Decorate the cartons with coloured papers or paint.

- Cut the front out of a 1 litre carton as shown.
- Pierce holes in the sides of the carton, and use a twig or drinking straw
for a perch.
- Lay a 1 litre carton on its side and cut out a curved piece from the
opposite sides.
- Cut the curve down the centre and use it for the rudder and keel.
- Use a straw for the mast and add a sail made from paper.
- For a pull toy, remove the keel, lay the carton on its side and cut the
sides at right angles. Attach a pull string at the front.

- You can use cartons of various shapes and sizes to build your train.
- Cut wheels out of a separate carton. Pierce 4 holes in the side of
the carton and use drinking straws for axles to attach the wheels.
- Cut a hole in the side of the carton and insert the top half of a
disposable cup for the engine's chimney.
- Cut away the top of a 1 litre carton.
- Using a thin strip of carton, glue some feathers and small pieces of
string to the strip. Attach around the top of the carton as shown.
- Cut a hole in the front and use a disposable cup for the nose.

Using a 1 litre carton, cut slits in the top and both sides. Insert wings
made from another carton.
- Cover the outside of a 1 litre carton with coloured paper.
- Cut two 200mm strips from another carton to use as windmill arms. Attach
the arms with a split pin.
- Close the gable and cut a slit in the gable for coins.
- Save up for a rainy day!

Collect ten 1 litre cartons and paint them all different colours.
Fill each carton with about 10mm of sand to stop them from being knocked over too easily. Seal the opening of each carton.
Set up the cartons. Now you're ready to play carton bowling.
- Cut away a 1 litre carton as shown and glue it between two more 1
litre cartons.
- Cut out the fronts of the cartons as shown to create the bridge decks.
