Bush Says Wants 'Free Trade' for Canada Beef

In remarks in the White House Rose Garden after morning meetings with Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin, Bush said, "My administration is committed to a policy of free trade when it comes to beef."
The United States banned live cattle from Canada 11 months ago when a single case of mad cow disease was discovered in Alberta, Canada. Since then, the United States has relaxed a ban on all Canadian beef.
