Buffalo Kills British Wildlife Activist, Artist

Simon Combes, 64, a Briton living in Kenya, died last Sunday four hours after the attack on a remote hilltop lookout just as air ambulance paramedics arrived.
"There was nothing we could do, this massive animal just kept throwing him into the air over and over," said Combes's wife Kathryn, who was with him at the time.
One of Combes's widest known works is a head-on painting of a glaring buffalo, entitled 'Menace', and he spent much of his life working to protect Africa's animals.
"He always worked for wildlife conservation and fighting to publicise the threats to animals across the world, it was his first love," his wife said.
He once described the most dangerous animal on the planet as man.
