Goldman Sachs To Buy Wind-Power Development Firm

New York-based Goldman declined to disclose terms of the transaction. Zilkha Renewable of Houston, led by father and son team Selim and Michael Zilkha, is developing wind-power projects with nearly 4,000 megawatts of generating capacity in a dozen states.
The purchase includes Zilkha's interest in the 200-megawatt Flat Rock Wind Power project in Lewis County, New York, and its stake in the 150-MW Blue Canyon Phase II project in Oklahoma. Both projects are expected to be completed by the end of this year.
