Earthquake Felt in New Delhi, Second in Two Days

The Meteorological Department said the epicentre was in the Chamoli district of the mountain state of Uttaranchal. There were no initial reports of damage or casualties, an official said.
Scores of houses were damaged in Afghanistan by Tuesday's early morning earthquake, the biggest since the devastating Oct. 8 South Asia quake that killed almost 75,000 in the region.
More than 20,000 people died when a powerful quake hit India's western state of Gujarat in 2001.
