US Mad-Cow Feed Rule due July 1, FDA Says

WASHINGTON - The Food and Drug Administration plans to issue final animal-feed rules to prevent the spread of mad cow disease by July 1, the agency's acting chief said on Thursday.


"My indications are our timeline is to have a rule by July 1," Acting FDA Commissioner Andrew von Eschenbach told lawmakers at a House of Representatives hearing.
