Avalanche Kills Three German Skiers in Switzerland

The five, aged between 30 and 40, were skiing off the marked pistes in the resort of Disentis when they were hit by the avalanche, according to a statement on the Web site of the cantonal police.
All were wearing avalanche detectors. The two skiers at the back of the group were only partly buried and were able to alert rescuers.
