Geese and chickens are tied to a motorcycle at a central market in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on March 12, 2004 after the authorities declared the bird flu epidemic over in most of the city's districts.

Asia's bird flu epidemic which has killed millions of chickens and at least 22 people, is under control although the deadly virus might linger for months, the head of the world animal health body said.
