Chemical Fire in Conyers Georgia Shuts Down Major Highway Near Altanta |

Fire billows from a warehouse in Conyers, Georgia owned by Bio-Labs where pool chemicals were stored, sending a chlorine-tinged cloud of smoke into the air and forcing the shutting down of a major highway and evacuation of residents in a five to ten mile radius near the facility May 25, 2004.

The warehouse fire began in the early morning hours and caused no major injuries but continued to burn at the facility which is located 25 miles east of Atlanta.
