Fuel oil contaminates a beach after a tugboat sank in the Para river at the port of Vila do Conde in the northern Brazilian state of Para.
|
A tug vessel sank in the Para River on September 3, 2008, spilling 30,000 litres of oil, according to the Environmental state and firefighting departments. The spill is spread over approximately 18km of the river.
