Members of the environmental group Greenpeace suspend themselves in the air from the Buenos Aires' Obelisk during a demonstration.
|
The group claimed Tuesday that trash collected by the Buenos Aires municipal government is the main cause of pollution in the the city's suburbs. Greenpeace also called for city garbage handling contracts to promote separation at source and recycling practices to reduce the more than five thousand tons per day of waste that end up buried in landfills in Buenos Aires province.
