Planet Ark was proud to be the City of Sydney's charity partner for 2008 Sydney New Year's Eve.
Recognising the opportunity to encourage Sydneysiders to make 2009 a year for the planet, Planet Ark launched ‘Green Resolutions': a free, weekly email information service to help people make simple and easy steps to help the environment.
"Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something. We all share this responsibility," says Planet Ark CEO Sean Barrett.
"New Year's Eve is a time to look ahead and work together to protect the planet and create a better future. In 2008, the City asked people to be generous in their support for Sydney New Year's Eve charity partner Planet Ark and the hard work they do," said Lord Mayor Clover Moore MP
Signing up to receive Green Resolutions is an easy way to support Planet Ark's work for the environment.
Continuing into 2010, Green Resolutions' eco tips and tricks will be emailed weekly and will focus on the environmental benefits of simple actions, with steps on how to achieve them
Every little bit helps! Recycling just one aluminium can saves enough energy to run a TV set for 3 hours and planting a single tree can result in the absorption of over one tonne of carbon dioxide throughout the life of the tree.
