Sometimes there's nothing better on Australia Day than tucking into a plate of prawns with mayo and salad, or enjoying grilled fish with a little lemon and parsley with a glass of white.
The bid to bring treats to my table has resulted in many of the world's fish stocks being close to collapse. The good news is that I can lessen my impact on our oceans by choosing my seafood wisely.
I can print out the The Marine Conservation Society's Sustainable Seafood Guide, keep it in my wallet and check it when I shop or eat out, to help me make responsible seafood choices.
